My Journey Into Motherhood: Part 2 Navigating a High-Risk Pregnancy

Pregnancy is often painted as a season of joy, but for me it was also a season of fear. After experiencing three miscarriages in the past, I carried this new pregnancy with both hope and hesitation. I wanted to prepare myself with high expectations, yet deep inside I was terrified that I might lose it again—especially as I approached the third month, the point where my past pregnancies had ended. It felt like living in two worlds at once: one filled with dreams of holding my baby, and another shadowed by the fear of heartbreak.

My OB-Gyne understood this delicate balance. She had been with me through my past losses, and I trusted her deeply—like she was God’s instrument guiding me toward motherhood. In my earlier pregnancies, she had advised strict bed rest. But this time, she encouraged me to continue working, even in the demanding environment of the BPO industry. I remember asking her twice if she was sure, because I was so afraid of making a wrong move. Yet her confidence gave me courage, and I chose to trust her judgment.

I became extra careful, never missing a single dose of my medications or pregnancy vitamins. I attended every check-up faithfully, even while juggling the pressures of work. The toxic environment of the BPO industry weighed heavily on me, but I held on, determined to protect this fragile life growing inside me. My heart prayed constantly—every morning, every night, every quiet moment in between—asking God to carry me through and to let this pregnancy flourish.

Navigating a high-risk pregnancy was not easy. It was a daily battle between fear and faith, between doubt and determination. But with my doctor’s guidance, my husband’s support, and God’s grace, I found the strength to keep moving forward. Each day that passed was a small victory, a step closer to the miracle I had long prayed for.

This chapter reminds me that courage is not the absence of fear—it is choosing to move forward despite it. My journey through a high-risk pregnancy was proof that faith, trust, and perseverance can carry us through even the most uncertain paths.

A New Chapter: My Journey Into Motherhood

🌸 My Journey Into Motherhood Part 1: The Road to Pregnancy

Holy Week of 2025 was meant to be a break from the routine—a chance for me and my husband to escape the demands of work and enjoy the open road. We hopped on our motorcycle and rode all the way to Batangas, where we spent an overnight stay by the beach. The view was breathtaking, the air refreshing, and the ride exhilarating. Yet, even as I soaked in the beauty of the sea, a thought lingered quietly in my mind: my period hadn’t come yet.

At first, I brushed it aside. I told myself it was just a delay, and I didn’t want to entertain the possibility of pregnancy. After all, with my history of miscarriages, hope was something I held cautiously. So I chose to focus on the vacation, enjoying the waves and the serenity of that short but sweet escape.

But as April drew to a close, my period still hadn’t arrived. Life was busy, and I kept myself distracted with work. Then one day, my husband surprised me—he had bought a pregnancy test and gently encouraged me to use it. I smiled but didn’t rush. It took me two more days before I finally decided to take the test.

The result was positive. My heart raced, but I knew it wasn’t yet “clinically confirmed.” So, we carried on with our plans to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. We rode to Biodome and Intramuros, though this time the joyride was shorter—because in the back of my mind, everything had changed.

Soon after, I went back to my OB-Gyne and shared the news. She recommended a transvaginal ultrasound, scheduled for the second week of May. That day, as I lay there waiting, I prayed silently. And when the doctor confirmed it—I was truly pregnant, one month along—I felt a wave of gratitude and awe.

This was the beginning of a journey I had longed for, prayed for, and feared I might never have. The road to pregnancy was not just about missed periods or medical tests—it was about faith, resilience, and the quiet miracles that unfold when you least expect them.

Looking back, I realize that the road to pregnancy was not just about the missed period, the positive test, or even the ultrasound confirmation. It was about the quiet unfolding of God’s plan in His perfect timing. What began as a simple motorcycle ride to the beach turned into the start of the most meaningful journey of my life. This chapter reminds me that miracles often arrive when we least expect them, and that faith, patience, and love can carry us through even the most uncertain paths.

🌸 A New Chapter: My Journey Into Motherhood

Last year marked the beginning of the most transformative phase of my life. In April 2025, I found out I was pregnant. It was a moment filled with joy, hope, and also fear—because my pregnancy was considered high-risk due to my age and my history of multiple miscarriages. Every day was a test of faith and strength, but I held on, trusting God’s plan for me.

The months that followed were not easy. I faced many health challenges, and there were times when I felt overwhelmed. Yet, through it all, I was surrounded by love—my husband’s unwavering care, my family’s support, and the prayers that carried me through. I am deeply thankful to God for blessing me with the strength to endure and for the miracle that awaited me at the end of this journey.

On November 2025, I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Holding her for the first time was indescribable—a moment that erased all the pain and fear, replacing it with pure gratitude and joy. She is my answered prayer, my precious gift, and my reminder that miracles do happen.

Motherhood has changed me in ways I never imagined. I made the decision to leave my job so I could devote myself fully to caring for my daughter. It hasn’t always been easy, but every smile, every little milestone, makes it all worthwhile. As she turns six months old this coming May 21, 2026, I look back at the journey with tears of gratitude.

This new chapter is not just about challenges—it’s about resilience, faith, and love. It’s about embracing the unknown and finding joy in the smallest moments. My baby girl has given my life new meaning, and I am excited to continue walking this path of motherhood, hand in hand with my family, and guided always by God’s grace.
